Floor Manager

Your job

You're the on-call problem solver. Keep things running smoothly.

Your Shift

  • Wear your glowing band so people can find you.
  • Walk the venue regularly — eyes on each room.
  • Check in with the door volunteer — relieve them for breaks if needed.
  • Answer questions from attendees — or find someone who can.
  • Handle conflicts and code-of-conduct issues calmly.
  • Restock supplies as needed — bathroom, water, etc.
  • Coordinate with DJs as needed.
  • Watch the floor for safety — spills, hazards, anyone in distress.
  • Sound check: Do a decibel (DB) check in each room periodically.

Timed Tasks

  • 9pm: Put food out
  • 11pm: After DJ finishes, start tear down of unused room
