Dance Ambassador

Your role

You are a bridge between dance communities. The armband is an invitation to dancers from other styles that you are a safe, welcoming partner to approach for a dance in your primary style.

Your role is not to teach, but to offer a genuine, enjoyable social dance that can make someone feel at home in an unfamiliar style.

What we ask of you

  • Greet every ask with genuine openness.
  • Meet them where they are -- the goal is connection!
  • Be patient and present.

Keep in mind

You are not required to say yes to every dance — take care of yourself too. But when you do say yes, give that dance your full presence. The person asking could be a skilled dancer in their own right or a newcomer to partner dance. Treat everyone as a peer who is simply exploring.
